The previous review is correct, the magnets are rather weak, but the holder is still usable. I happened to find that magnetism increases greatly when a piece of ferrous metal is placed on the back of the mount. The included stamped steel key got stuck in the back and the magnetism became noticeably stronger. So I bought a spatula from the dollar store and cut out the bottom plate using a magnet as a template. Problem solved. The manufacturer should consider adding this piece of metal to improve the product.
