Well I'm again very happy with my new Olympus Stylus 9000. I took advantage of their trade-in plan and traded in my Olympus Stylus 840 which was also a great camera but I wanted better Olympus 9000 features like 12 megapixels and a 10x optical zoom lens. I also got a pretty good price when I traded in the 840. My great-niece got married at an open-air wedding in Pennsylvania a few days after I got the new camera, and I had little time to try out the new features of the new Olympus Camera 9000 before going to the wedding. But I had absolutely no problems. Olympus cameras are extremely user-friendly and, unlike many cameras, come with a printed manual. I love this feature but to be honest if you know anything about digital cameras you will have no problem working with the Olympus brands. I was very surprised and amazed that we were all seated quite a distance from the actual wedding ceremony. The wedding took place on a small island in a small lake, and the guests were on the shore of the lake. I held my little camera over the heads of the seated people as far as I could and still see the screen with my arms raised and got some really great shots at 10x zoom. I was pretty sure I wouldn't be able to hold the camera steady at 10x zoom but the dual stabilization worked great and I didn't get a single blurry shot and I'm a shaky 64 year old. I could talk endlessly about the various features of this camera, but trust me, it's packed with nice and easy-to-use features. The price and size of this camera are also great. This is a true pocket sized camera with great features and qualities. And remember, when it comes to seeing the screen in bright sunlight or any other light, Olympus wrote a book about being able to see the screen in all lighting conditions. The only thing some people complain about is that Olympus still uses XD cards. I don't know why this is a problem for some people as I don't care. They are readily available in many places and you really only need a 2GB card or 2 cards at most. The battery life is also impressive and they have released a new wireless charger which is great. You will not be disappointed if you choose this camera.
