2012 Ram 2500 HD 4x4 - Upper Ball Joint

Fits my 2012 Ram 2500 HD 4x4 perfectly. Only 40,000 miles with stock ball joints and they started to fail. I put the ball joint in the freezer overnight, used lots of nickel anti-seize compound and they hardened fairly quickly. Using a quality press and the correct adapters is critical to their installation. I like the Zerk fitting that allows them to be lubricated when needed.

Moog always stands for quality.

Installed them on my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 after a factory failure at 150,000 miles. They fit exactly like the original parts and after 8000 miles are still as tight as the day I installed them. I have a habit of lubricating them every time I change my oil which is every 3-4000 miles. Don't expect a lubricated part to last long unless you lubricate it. I've used Moog parts since my first Jeep and have never let me down.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Expensive

Typical MOOG item in good quality!

Perfect for my 2014 RAM 3500. It's not really a ball joint, more like a kingpin that moves up and down and rotates 360 but doesn't rotate. This was an exact replacement for my stock "ball joint" and it fitted perfectly, the ones I got weren't knurled. However, unlike the standard motors, they can be lubricated, so I expect them to have a much longer lifespan. The carving and overall finish was impeccable.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Clarity

I highly recommend the product but pray you don't have any flaws.

Ordered top and bottom ball joints for my 2003 Ram 2500. Everything went to plan except one of the top ball joints was damaged. I tried to contact the seller (buffalo chips) but he said they had no record of my order and couldn't do anything. Maybe this product test will help. Highly recommend the product but pray you don't have any defects as the seller will not help in any way.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Some trouble

good fit and quality!

2012 Ram 3500 6.7 4x4. 140,000 kilometers. This ball joint seems to be of much better quality than OEM junk. 37-inch mud tires work. Began shaking a bit at high speeds. The tremor disappeared after replacing the upper and lower ball joints. PLACE THEM IN THE FREEZER OVERNIGHT BEFORE INSTALLATION. They snap easily and easily into place. Fittings so you can access them. Great ball joints. If I have a truck in another 140,000 I'll be sure to buy them again.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Unsure

Reven throws the ball.

Not the wine of the Moogs, but the wine of the Amazons. Bought new to save $6, don't do it. This supposed new product was installed and the boot was torn due to improper installation. Somehow the previous buyer thought it was ok to return it and to top it all Amazon sold it as new. A cracked boot renders the joint short-lived and not like new. Looks like this is a new Amazon issue. Not for the first time in the last few months. I remember when they underestimated used products. Now it's just a…

One was great, the other not so good

Edit: Changed rating to 1 star. Failed after 20,000. Found many, many posts about this in all forums. The Moog brand is no longer the same. I spent a few hundred more on a new set of ball joints than the Moog cost, which are much better made and have a removable raceway and pin so they never have to be pushed out again. Can also be adjusted to eliminate play during wear. DO NOT BUY MOOG. The one I had was great, easy to install and didn't cause any problems. Another for the other side. not as…
