Limited cutting capacity

Bought this to cut a bike cable lock. No way. Didn't even remember. However, the cutter itself was somewhat damaged. I assume it's for cutting bike brake cables or hanging pictures. I ended up spending $40 on bolt cutters that cut the bike lock cable like a hot knife through butter.
