This is a great tool. Most mid to high end Viking and Pfaff sewing machines include a hump tool as an accessory. With this tool, the needle can be held while it is being inserted into the needle holder (the needles will no longer fall off). But I use stitches that are thicker than the rest of the fabric for sewing. For example sewn-on face masks. It holds the sewing foot even when the needle is straight and prevents the needle from breaking. This is a must have for any sewing machine. I wanted 2 so I could hang one after the one I was using fell off the back of the car.
