I have very thick curly hair so I wanted to order big ponytail holders to keep my huge mane in check. I wish I had paid more attention to the description. It's a mix of 50% thin stripes and 50% thicker stripes which I really wanted. I can wrap both around my hair 2-3 times depending on whether it's in a bun or ponytail. The thicker ones are more stable. I've never found retainers that didn't pull out in my huge hair over time and this is no different. After five or six socks, the white elastic will be exposed and less sticky. I don't blame the product - it's just life with big hair. They are no better than other brands. I love that there is no metal to get caught in my hair. Next time I'll be careful and I'll definitely get a sheet with thick streaks.
