Review on πŸ”Š Altec Lansing inMotion iM7 Portable Audio System for iPod (White): Immersive Sound On-the-Go! by Brittany Mills

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nice sound, nice box, easy setup

After much deliberation I ordered the iM7 (it was on sale!) even though I couldn't listen to it in any store. I felt not only relieved but also very happy when I finally listened! I'm not a fan of high-end music, but I do listen to offline classical music, as well as trance, rock, jazz and blues. Bach and Miles Davis sound sweet and full. The bass is quite tight, the highs are clean and not tinny. The sound is quiet and big for a small box. I carried the box to work on the subway, so it's not too heavy. Setup took 2 minutes. The instructions are all in pictures and pretty clear. There is also an operating manual in a dozen languages, plugs for all kinds of foreign power supplies, a cable for an external sound source and a remote control. I have an iPod Photo so I didn't need the stand controls. Stop your iPod, place it in the stand, gently close the stand (it has a soft push-to-open latch), connect the back and away you go. If you have trouble putting the battery in the remote, put it in. on the table surface and with a nail file carefully pry off with one hand, with the other pinch the edges at the edge. Receiver and compact handle. The device is solid and well made. Overall, I really like this sound docking station. I can't live without my iPod anymore and this is a great investment for it.
