Review on Upgraded 6x10 Tilt Control and Gas πŸͺ‘ Lift for Office Chair - Replacement Tilt Control Mechanism by Cynthia Romero

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I scoured YouTube for ideas and the best part was hitting the .

The recliner worked great and was installed and used daily for several months. The dimensions shown are correct and the only problem was getting the gas tube out of the old sloping base. I scoured YouTube for ideas and the best part was tapping the old base with a hammer. I had to remove the gas line from the wheelbase and note the order of the bearings and washers as my gas line was in good condition. After tapping the old base while holding the gas tube, the old base fell off. I bolted the new base to the seat base and reinstalled my old gas hose into the wheelbase with washers, bearings and locking clip. The next task was to carefully lower the chair with the new base onto the gas tube. Then you need to sit on a chair, fix the new base on the gas pipe and enjoy your work. Update 04/16/2021: Had to replace tilt control unit after 3.5 years. Cause: The chair seat was tilted away from the tilt control lever. Damage: The base was deformed and I was unable to fully depress the tilt control lever to lock the tilt function. You don't need to remove the gas tube with a wrench to replace it - see JIJI Singapore YouTube video: How to remove the chair's gas cylinder.
