Short battery life, poorly attached

At first I thought it would be the perfect lighting for my morning walks. For its size, the thing is very bright. And it's light and compact, easy to use. There is 1 button to toggle between on, off and strobe mode. But since I've had it for a few months, the cons really add up. Battery life is ridiculously short, 1 1/2-2 hours max. I walk/run about 90 minutes each day and this needs to be charged daily or it won't work. I forget to charge it for days, it's so dim when I start a walk that I shouldn't bother with a few minutes of very dim light (less than a glow stick). So basically it lives on a charger and I have to remember to take it for a walk/jog every day. Yes, I often forget to unplug it from the charger which is why I have no lights many days of the week. A longer charge (like my headphones) would be much more convenient as I could keep all my gear together and just charge it weekly like everything else. Second, it attaches with a magnetic clasp or a strap that can be fastened. Neither is particularly good. The belt itches and stretches. The magnet seemed to be the best option to me, since you can quickly snap off the edge of the clothes. But it falls off. Very easy. And often. When I wear it, I regularly have to pick it up off the ground because I accidentally hit it. Yes, a slight chance hit is enough to remove it, and unless you're particularly diligent, you'll lose it. I have now completely LOST two of these. My first was a gift from my running buddy so I traded it in for 2 packs. Then I lost another one. Now I have a third light, and every time I bend down to pick it up because I accidentally hit it, I remind myself that this is #3. And #4 will definitely be a different model.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
