Review on Cat Mate Locking Flap White by Sharon Triplett

My kittens love the outdoors and I'm so glad I made this purchase. My friend and I were able to easily install it on our window screen and after some persuasion with treats, they were both using it regularly within an hour of installing it. We put an old scratching post in front of the window so they can reach it; they are in heaven. I had no reason to use locking mechanisms, so I cannot confirm their functionality. I'll add my two cents to installing the window grille: 1. Remove the grille from the window and lay out the Cat Mate parts where you plan to install it - make sure the locks are facing in. Screw opposite corners in half* (diagonally), if necessary make a small cut to relieve tension, then screw in the other corners in half3. Cut the big cross in the middle of the screen to continue the stress relief and screw the corners completely4. Use a sharp knife to cut off the remaining screen - voila! *Note: The plastic is unthreaded. So if you're using a hand screwdriver, you'll need extra elbow grease.
