I'm a size 9, religiously speaking. You always have to know where the shoes are made. My favorite thing to do is support companies that produce in the USA. This New Balance company offers a US or UK made option, which is still my preference for China. These 9 were too small. I usually liked sneakers or cleats on the narrower side when playing ball for short sprints and such; but they looked more like agony in the making so I traded them in at the judges clinic for a size 10 (they weren't a 9 1/2). They're new, so I put on 2 pairs of normal athletic socks. Even wa 10; the width is borderline and I have normal/narrow feet. FYI Good to go now.
