I took this dress on a 2 week trip to Sri Lanka and it was just what I needed. The fabric is very cool and comfortable and it feels like you're wearing almost nothing. Ideal for hot and humid weather. I also often wear it at home in hot weather and it's the perfect piece when you want to be cool and look a little tidy. The black color is subtle and helps the dress not look too "sporty" so it can be worn on a variety of occasions. Other patterns and colors are very unflattering and look like granny dresses. Another warning - the dress is not very economical. It adheres fairly tightly to the skin and easily shows bumps and puffiness.
