This is the first review where I am not happy with the purchase. Like many other reviewers I ignored the negative reviews and because I loved the huge range of colors and that it was nice eyeliner which I love when I color plus the wider tip all in one. When they finally arrived I was dying to try all of their new painting tools I had bought, but before I get to that I have to say that I was suspicious of reviews so I decided to head over to YouTube and see if I could that could do I find some of these. Videos of people using them and they did and for the most part they seemed like positive people to me coloring them in and they looked ok so I thought I'd take a chance. When I opened them, I took them all out of the stand, knowing I wouldn't keep them there, and started testing them one by one. The first thing I tried was eyeliner and I noticed that the color didn't pop up like I'm used to with other eyeliners I use. Ok I thought maybe it was just a color it was one of the light grays after all so I turned it on the bullet point and when I touched the paper with a marker it tore the paper and didn't sit well on the paper at all . and there was paper on the marker i seriously touched the paper with the marker and unfortunately as with any marker some work better than others and some can be used but for the most part they look awful. Now most of my coloring books are not very thick paper so I will try them on thicker paper and see how it works because I wanted to love them so much but not at the moment. I really take the time to paint nicely because I really like it so I just can't use them now because they look awful on flimsy paper. I can't get the color on the paper properly as they smudge and tear the paper a lot. So frustrated because I really liked all the color options so I gave two instead of one. Hope this helps someone make a different choice. As another reviewer said, I should have saved my $30 until I bought a better set. Well, live and learn, but I will never buy again. I'll try something else asap because I love markers.
