Review on 🐶 Buckley Freeze Dried Dog Food & Food Topper - Lamb Flavor, 10 oz by Jennifer Middleton

This was the first time we tried freeze dried products. We bought another brand of freeze dried ones as a reward. I have 2 dogs - both with sensitive stomachs and we need to be careful with the ingredients due to sensitivities and allergies. I wasn't aware of this brand before I had the opportunity to try it. We tried both beef and lamb. The bag comes with a zipped lid and the pieces come in a variety of sizes. The first time I just looked at the rehydration instructions and skipped the part about using warm water. I used distilled water at room temperature. After about 15 minutes it didn't look like the food was going to decompose much. After reading the instructions again, I understood the part about using warm water. I poured out the water that hadn't drained and my girls ate it and seemed to enjoy it. I started with a small amount to avoid indigestion. The next evening I tried warm water. The food doesn't break down as much (or not as much as I thought it would) but my girls love it. This brand appears to be of good quality with healthy ingredients. Here are some of the things I love about it: - Grain-free - Corn-free - No animal flours or fillers - Made in the USA - Simple and easy-to-understand ingredient list - My dogs ate it with no stomach upset and slow switching, they had no stomachs - Intestinal disease. I've attached some photos so you can see the size of the food. The size is suitable for small dogs - XL. With small dogs, I'd probably try to break up some of the larger pieces. While I think this is a good food with quality ingredients, it can get expensive, especially if you feed multiple dogs in your household or if you have larger dogs that eat more. What I will try to do with my dogs is to feed them premium kibble in the morning and freeze dry or raw in the evening to see how they behave. I would also like to ask our vet about the amount of food to make sure the amount recommended on the package is the right amount for my dogs. My dogs liked it and ate it well so I will consider buying this brand in the future. * Need treats? This would be great value to buy and use as a treat! They're easy to break if you need to break up some of the larger pieces (for small dogs or smaller treats). Can also be used as a food topper. Have fun shopping!
