Review on 🎮 dreamGEAR Comfort Grip for New Nintendo 2DS XL - Red (2DS) by Tom Motko

I hate doing this because I've been buying DreamGear cases since the original 3DS and always thought they were the best. Unfortunately I can't say in this case. I think what really differs from previous models is that they seem to focus on a low profile, while previous versions didn't sacrifice size for comfort. This case is just too small and not ergonomic at all. I saw other reviews complaining about not having a place to rest their bottom toes and figured this was something I might have overlooked. You really can't. Half of your arm will be dangling from this case, which gets awkward pretty quickly. You're basically holding it in the claw position, making it difficult to transition to the shoulder buttons. Also, the squeezing motion when using the shoulder buttons causes the case to rise in the center where all the button cutouts are. This makes the buttons difficult to use and quite frustrating. Another important point is that this case will not fit the 2DS XL unless it is the standard version. The top of this case will not fit the special version of the 2DS XL with a raised faceplate. Example: Pikachu Edition, Hylian Shield Edition, PokeBall Edition, etc. Conclusion: I'm giving 3 stars because it's not exactly a bad product. If you want a case for the standard 2DS XL that's low profile and offers a slight comfort boost; this case is not bad. I think the qualification is not too big. It also doesn't offer much protection, which I think is another big difference from other DreamGear cases. If you are looking for a 2DS XL case that focuses on comfort and durability; You will probably be disappointed with it. I would recommend DreamGear to create a new model for the 2DS XL that focuses more on comfort than elegance. Finesse isn't why I've been a long-time DreamGear customer. For this reason I will look for alternatives. I'm sorry to say that
