It was a bit more than I would normally spend on just a travel brush but I'm glad I chose this one for a number of reasons, the main one being the quality of the plastic. body and bristles. The bristles didn't seem too sharp to me personally. I have very thin hair that gets tangled easily and this suits me very well. As per the claim, it actually detangles with regular brushing without any extra effort or discomfort. When I opened it I thought the bristles might be too short to work really well, but that wasn't a problem for me at all. I also think that the case itself makes it worth spending a little more on. The cap has a good sized mirror so it does more than one thing. I also really like that it closes completely so I can just toss it in my purse and it stays clean. The lid is very secure, so much so that I assumed it was screwed. After not being able to open it that way, I just pulled and the lid popped right out. I was surprised that it closes so tightly but is so easy to open at the same time. The size is perfect for my needs, so I don't regret this purchase.
