Review on Leviton SmartlockPro Weather Resistant Tamper Resistant Receptacle by Brent Gurney

Fits right and works great. Very easy installation with good instructions if needed. Not sure why 2x of my original (WR rated) have failed and not reset after 3 years. They were (professionally) installed outside the house in neat boxes and hardly used. They didn't get wet and there are no obvious wiring issues. Edit: I ordered a third one to upgrade another old outlet and this one seems to go bad right away. The device is powered on, but will not reset after a self-test. I ordered a replacement to make sure the problem wasn't with something else and that the replacement was working properly. I like the features but the reliability is unacceptable. I am reducing my rating to 3* as there is absolutely no reason why the failure rate of these devices is so high and so fast with very limited/light usage. I've had normal outdoor sockets for decades without any problems. Another flip and I'll take them all out and go the other way.
