I rarely write 1 star reviews but this product is a real stinker. I wear a size 11 men's boot and the size XL I ordered barely stretched enough to fit over the boot so I basically have to leave it on now. The bottom elastic on one of the gaiters broke after 3 hours of walking on the grass on the first day and it's almost impossible to fix. Finally, the stuff they're made of isn't very good at dropping prairie seeds, especially poisonous parsley (those little BB-sized "Velcro soccer balls"). So I have to spend 5 minutes brushing them off at the end of a long, tiring day of spot spraying thistles for our prairie restoration project. I have just ordered another pair of a different type and will be throwing them away once they arrive. Update: At the end of the second day of wear, the strap that goes under the boot fell off and disappeared towards the end. daily spraying with thistles. I threw these socks in the trash and bought a new pair that cost half the price and look pretty good. They are much easier to put on and the seeds don't even stick to the fabric.
