Essential item for hiking

They have become indispensable for my hikes. No more pebbles and debris in my shoes! They can be annoying at times but I guess that's what keeps them safe when you run so hard to complain about it. The elastic that goes under the shoe has worn a bit from constant use but is still in good condition.

Perfect for dry hiking!

I used them to climb Mount St Helens (I'm wearing burgundy leggings). The final leg of the hike wades through loose ash, gravel, and pumice. There wasn't a grain of stone at the toe of my boot! They are thin and light so they breathe very well. The material seems durable although I haven't tried them in vegetation yet. They're great with low walking boots, but I'm not sure how they'll work with tall boots as they only fit mid-calf. Where it is easy to put on, cold fingers make it difficult to…

Rubber band broke on day one

I rarely write 1 star reviews but this product is a real stinker. I wear a size 11 men's boot and the size XL I ordered barely stretched enough to fit over the boot so I basically have to leave it on now. The bottom elastic on one of the gaiters broke after 3 hours of walking on the grass on the first day and it's almost impossible to fix. Finally, the stuff they're made of isn't very good at dropping prairie seeds, especially poisonous parsley (those little BB-sized "Velcro soccer balls"). So…
