Received today and installed on sofas. I had to put two on the couch and one on the couch. The first thing my dog did was take a step where he wasn't there, like in one of the YouTube videos. So I covered the couches and rugs with a light blanket and it worked when my dog jumped up and couldn't see where the rugs were. It sounds like a smoke alarm beeping (beeps once for each step the dog takes) which my dog really doesn't like and then walks away and hides in the bathroom for a while. I think I can just use the blanket once she learns to stay away. The pads are nylon and slide easily, this would be a 4 star product if they were cotton and/or stayed in place. better. This would be a 5 star product if it was about 12 inches longer and 6 inches wider than the current size of about 58 x 12 inches. But that's the only solution I've found that works without physical discomfort. Cover them with a blanket to make them even more spectacular. We did exactly that, and our dog doesn't know if it's safe to lie on the couch or not, so now he stays away all the time.
