Good light but fragile filament

Three way light bulbs are very hard to come by these days. It has a nice spectrum of light and I love the way it looks. It reads very easily. The only problem, and I think it's a pretty serious one, is that the lifespan of the bulbs isn't reliable. It seems that even small movements of the lamp while the light is on can break the filament. For example, I moved the floor lamp a small distance, about 6 inches, and the filament broke. I haven't been rough on it. I wish the manufacturer had used a stronger yarn. However, I will continue to buy these lamps as nothing else is available.
