In case you weren't paying attention, high quality desktop monitors have gotten a lot cheaper in the past few years. A few years ago IPS displays were too expensive for most home users, so we went for TN displays with lower contrast, poorer color reproduction and narrower viewing angles at a much lower price. Today good IPS displays like this are only marginally more expensive than cheaper technology and well worth the price for home office use or for people who do a lot of photo or video editing or even play video games. This monitor features 3 connectors for easy setup with almost any computer. It was plug and play with my Microsoft Windows system. I just plugged it in and it set itself up. The construction is solid, if a bit heavy. The display looks great. Avid users may prefer the 27-inch display, which has gotten a lot cheaper in recent years. Or choose two 24-inch displays side by side. You have a lot of good options these days for a reasonable price.
