Review on πŸ’» Enhance Your Workstation with the Lorell Sit-to-Stand Monitor Riser in Sleek Black Design by Ivan Brown

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Excellent apparatus. Not perfect. But pretty cool.

After much research this turned out to be the best of the cheaper convertible desk stands. Very happy with it. It's big enough for a couple of monitors, a large backlit (gaming) keyboard, and has enough surface area for a mouse pad and mouse when standing. I'm not exactly sure, but I think Lorell and Rocelco are the same company. from Canada, and the risers on Revain from both companies are identical. I ended up buying this Lorell because I was more sure of the sizes shown (the other one was vague) and I think it was about $10 cheaper at the time. It's heavy, doesn't really move around the table. , and it's fairly easy to manipulate, but not as easy as Rocelco's display. The rear locking lever does not slide smoothly. They get stuck in the middle. Enough that when I want to change position, I don't just click and unlatch with a smile on my face while gently sliding the riser in the desired direction. I go around the back, clicking on each lock and then carefully raising or lowering it (depending). I say "carefully" because when you lift, the air pumps don't work right away. It has to be pulled at the right angle, otherwise you'll just lift it off the table. Pushing back is easier than pulling up. I also noticed that the plastic/vinyl edge on the right side was loose when my right hand pulled/pushed to reposition it, so I'll have to fix that with some glue. Overall I am very satisfied with this device. Transitioning to a standing desk is an important life hack for those who work at the computer all the time. Don't forget to bring a mat to stand on.
