If the blue LED coming out of the USB port is too bright, a piece of electrical tape on the USB port inside will help block the light keep from leaking. 1 - Unplug the extension cord 2 - Remove the two rubber feet covering the screws 3 - Remove the two screws 4 - Remove the plastic cover 5 - Put a piece of black tape on the silver USB port to secure it protect from blue LED 6 - temporarily replace the cover and plug in an extension cord to see if it lights. In a dark room, there is simply too much light coming through. That fixed everything fine.
