This toothpaste saved me from pain in a tooth. This tooth has recently become very sensitive to cold and chewing pressure. There was nothing abnormal on the X-ray. The dentist thought I needed a root canal and suggested I try that first. I noticed some relief after the first use and it only took me about 2 weeks of regular use before I felt full relief. It's expensive but worth it. I've been using it twice a day for about 3 months now and couldn't be happier. The instructions suggest massaging it onto the tooth with your fingertip. I usually brush and rub with this paste and then rinse. About every other night I add a step at the end: I apply a small amount to a sensitive tooth with a manual toothbrush and then leave it on for 5 minutes before rinsing out. I'm very careful not to swallow.
