Don't throw away the instructions for tightening and loosening the straps. I've been wearing Chaco for many years, 7th pair, great for plantar fasciitis. When building a new pair I always have to go back and revise the guide. After that everything is fine. I wear them every day of the year as long as the snow doesn't get too deep.
