Review on Python No Spill Clean & Fill Aquarium Maintenance System - Enhancing Your Aquarium with Easy Maintenance by Darcy Thorson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does not fit - REVISED. FITS!

REVISED - Found a solution to the issue described in the PREVIOUS REVIEW below. I knew there had to be a solution to the problem, which I found at a local plumbing store in St. Petersburg, not Home Depot. The Home Depot employees are nice and all, but they're not plumbers. So when you explain your problem, they don't have much experience. The plumbing store knew exactly what nozzle I needed, and it cost $3.64. In the photos for this review, the first four show the fixed tub hose I was trying to attach to. The fifth photo shows two brass nozzles; The one on the left shows the nozzle you get with Python and the one on the right is what the plumber at the supply house found for me in 15 seconds. The sixth and seventh photos show a brass fitting and then a green python fitting attached to a solid tub hose. Everything is working great now, so I've changed my rating to 5 stars. just know If you are attempting to attach a python to a hose that you have removed the sprayer center handle from, you will need to purchase another brass adapter to connect the green python nozzle to the hose. This is a half inch male brass plug. I'm sure Home Depot has them. It only took me one chat with a plumber at a plumbing shop to find exactly what I needed. If you're not plugging the Python into your kitchen sink or fixed tub spray hose connector, just make sure you have an aerator faucet that you can unscrew from the faucet. This is the only place the adapter that comes with Python connects to. By the way, I got a flyer from Python in the mail. See the eighth photo. They must get a lot of feedback that their connector doesn't fit many faucets because they are now selling additional attachments from their website. is semi-modern with Moen faucets, including spray faucets in the kitchen and laundry room. We've tried plugging this thing into every faucet in our house and nothing works. We also went to Home Depot hoping to find an adapter for a fixed bathtub. They looked at us like we were from Mars. I've attached photos of the fixed bathtub that we tried to attach the brass python adapter to without success. The diameter of the Python brass nozzle is too large to screw into the nozzle of a stationary tub hose. If anyone has an idea after looking at the photos I would greatly appreciate it. If anyone has pictures of how they have successfully attached this thing to a faucet in their house I would be very interested to see them. Email photos and offers to lauren9409 at hotmail dot com. You would be very grateful. So basically this thing is useless and unless I can find an adapter or some other way to hook it up to another fsuset in our house it will go back to Revain. The lesson is here. Before you buy, make sure the Python nozzle fits on one of your faucets next to your tank.
