This thing has a serious design flaw. The inner heat mat does not close with a zipper, but only with a small Velcro fastener. To make matters worse, there is a blue thread on the heating mat, I know why. So what's the deal. Well, if your dog decides to take the bed apart (because dogs do), that little blue thread can get wrapped around its paw. I got home tonight to find my dog squeaking and squeaking. This rope was wrapped tightly around her hind leg and twisted and turned like a tourniquet. It's good that I got home on time, otherwise my four-legged friend would have become a three-legged friend. Do yourself a favor, don't buy this thing.
