I bought this for my son as a 5th birthday gift and it barely fits him. It's a bit big for a 5 year old but I figured as it's for 6-8 year olds we'll be fine. I will be happy to benefit from it for 6 months. He is about 48 pounds and 3 feet 9 inches tall. It reaches down to his knees and wraps around him with a slight overlap. I didn't expect something like this when it says it's suitable for an 8 year old. This is definitely not suitable for my child when they are 8 years old! Luckily we have a new kid who will receive it as an almost new handmade product.
