I bought mine about two months ago and put a s**l on it, they still work great! I can walk about 1.5 miles in dense woods on a simplex and I can hit a repeater 27 miles away. I've used them in the rain and they still work well. My only issue is that they are currently not compatible with CHRIP and the speaker starts wheezing if you turn the volume up too high. I would definitely recommend them to anyone new to GMRS or anyone looking for an easy to use pocket computer on a budget.
