Review on πŸ’ͺ Powerful and Precise: Makita 9557NB 2 Inch Angle Grinder - Optimal Grinding Performance for Projects of All Sizes by Antoine Cash

Revainrating 4 out of 5

good, but Dewalt D28402 is better

Good quality tool seems to hold up. It's 7.5A, not as powerful as the 10A Dewalt D28402, but still enough for most jobs. The Dewalt has a paddle switch that needs to be held down, while the Makita has a slide switch that stays on. For some tasks it is useful to be able to block them. But there may be a little more chance of injury. Makita requires a screwdriver to adjust the position of the guard, while Dewalt has a quick release that requires no tools - a Dewalt advantage. The Makita works well as a second grinder and for welding you need at least two grinders.

Pros
  • Labyrinth design seals and protects pinion and bearings from contamination, extends tool life
Cons
  • So far so good
