Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Mephisto Match Sneakers: White Leather Men's Shoes for Optimum Athletic Performance by Nico Ramdeen

No longer made in France. The price should reflect this,

I've been wearing Mephisto shoes for about 30 years. I've had several pairs of this particular design over the years. I also have several pairs of their boots (which are extremely durable and by far the most comfortable pieces I've ever worn on my feet). My first pair of these shoes were made in France. You were perfect. They fit perfectly from day one. They have worked flawlessly for years and I never thought about the cost. I knew they would last and be comfortable all the time, so it felt like a fair deal. Then a few years ago I bought a pair online because I couldn't find my size at my local store. I was surprised when I received a pair of shoes from Portugal. Surprised and skeptical... and, as it turned out, right. This pair didn't last as long as my previous ones. And they didn't walk on clouds. Not even close. So after a while I convinced myself they were fake (I didn't buy this pair from Revain. They were bought from an online auction). Maybe they were, maybe they weren't, but they were definitely unlike any other Mephisto shoe I've owned. Now this couple. First I'll put it this way: darker browns are MUCH BEAUTIFUL than regular browns. Thank you Mephisto for finally making these shoes dark brown! These are comfortable shoes. They fit well; they don't cause blisters etc. But there is something that separates these shoes from a pair made in France. You still lack the comfort of walking on clouds. Someone else mentioned the weight of these boots. I agree they are much lighter than real French shoes. I don't know if it's because of the different materials, or the different amount of certain materials, or whatever, but I do know that these will be the last pair of Mephisto shoes I'll buy at this price point. I need to estimate the cost of making these shoes. significantly reduced as they are no longer manufactured in France. Labor costs alone are probably less than half what they have been in the past. And if the quality and/or quantity of materials is inferior, then so are the associated costs. For these reasons, the cost of these shoes should be lower. This is very bad. I feel like I'm losing a friend by deciding to stop buying Mephisto shoes. But I feel overwhelmed. TRANSPORT PRODUCTION BACK TO FRANCE!
