I have used other brands before and to be honest they have disappointed me. The biggest problem I had with other tapes was that they would break when trying to get them off the roll and lose a few inches of tape each time. Or stick to yourself and again a big waste of time and effort. I tried Gorilla Packing Tape and was amazed at how much better it is. It's thicker, which solves most of the issues I've had, and the adhesive is better. I've packed over 138 boxes and will never use anything but Gorilla Tape again.
