Looks cool but the sound is not very good

Received this today, hooked it up to the Xbox adapter and was surprised that the sound wasn't that great on some games, lacked bass and was a little quieter at max volume. I expected better sound quality from Thrustmaster's Rainbow Six Siege gaming headset. However, this is a comfortable headset.
