I'm a construction worker and I do house renovations. The customer wanted to upgrade their recessed lights with Daylight. I uninstalled the first one and tried to install a new one. It doesn't stick to the ceiling. It took me a minute to realize that the spring was not up to standard. I've never seen a spring bar made like this before. The problem is visible in the photo. The light does not go up all the way because the spring detaches from the spool. In order for them to work, the glass has to be just right. I managed to wrap the wire around the spool to hold it together and it worked, but it's too much work and I'm paying my boys way too much for it to pay off. I just returned the old ones. An easy fix would be to use a divider bar (see arrow) or just do it like everyone else.
