I bought this for the new Dyson V7. I was interested because with the hanger provided by Dyson I did not want to damage the walls and with it I had all the tools at hand, because it takes up little space and because it is portable so that I can change my hanger. Think where I want to save it. Good news: all the above reasons have been met. In addition, it was well packaged. The small screw packs were clearly marked. Accessory hooks can be placed in several different configurations than shown in my photo. The tool that came with it was all I needed. The bad news: it took patience, which I didn't have, and I learned a lot of new swear words putting it together. Despite all the positive reviews about easy assembly, I disagree. Attaching the bottom panel would have been easier if I hadn't done it myself. The two fittings go in the lower basket. It took me a few minutes to figure this out because the instructions didn't specifically state it. Since the connecting screws are very short and the holes are not perfectly aligned, it took a lot of effort and time to assemble. Unfortunately, one of those four screws is still not fully secured, and probably never will be. There are absolutely no instructions on how to route the Dyson charging cable through the sprung seat. I somehow managed to do it, but I didn't figure out how to undo it if I wanted to. I think not everyone will have the same experiences as me. Assembly will be more intuitive for some customers, and some assemblies may be easier due to better part alignment.
