Works well but stick to the recommended age.
For older children. Don't think this can work for a four year old (it's a risk I took). I bought this for a four year old who is admittedly too small. I thought maybe she could pull the trigger with a battery as she loves trying to play with older kids, but she can't cock or pull the trigger with a regular nerf. It's great for older kids or adults. Pretty easy to load. Switches to full auto mode when you hold down the shutter button. But it shoots fast. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that it really needs a larger capacity magazine. It cycles through all 6 in about 1 second.
