I don't often get out of the boat after dark. But I'm sick of the typical flashlight and outlet that never worked due to corrosion or damage. I just switched to this neat battery powered device and have been using NiMH AA rechargeable batteries. I set the flashlight up for a few nights when I need it and just keep it in the garage or on the boat when I'm not using it. Very happy with it. If you need a more secure mount, you can purchase an aluminum camera clip. The lantern has a 1/4-20 thread in the base which works great.
