Great for night kayaking

Great for night kayaking. Stays in place as long as you have a smooth surface to attach the suction cup to. I took the thing through a few small dams and it stayed where it was supposed to. There's also a loop that I've run a cable through to attach it to my rig in case the suction cup fails, but it's not there yet and I go night rowing at least once a week.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Available in white only

Excellent navigation light for a boat!

I use this navigation light on my boat. The suction cup allows me to mount it on top of the outboard motor. I've never dropped it, even running big waves, getting to my sailboat and back. The lighting is sufficient and ensures safety because after dark I sail among other boaters. The price is a bit higher than what I expected from this type of product, but it works well so I can't complain too much.

Won't be a stick for me

Paddleboard sanded and cleaned but to no avail. Loses suction quickly and doesn't come with a strap but there is a small hole to attach something to because in my case I would lose it every few minutes if I actually used it. Garage tested a few times, not sure if others look better, but it's a fiberglass board, can't see why it doesn't work. Too bad as I bought in January and now it's summer and I can't return them, I bought both the bow and stern lights in the same edition.

Good anchor/mast light

I don't often get out of the boat after dark. But I'm sick of the typical flashlight and outlet that never worked due to corrosion or damage. I just switched to this neat battery powered device and have been using NiMH AA rechargeable batteries. I set the flashlight up for a few nights when I need it and just keep it in the garage or on the boat when I'm not using it. Very happy with it. If you need a more secure mount, you can purchase an aluminum camera clip. The lantern has a 1/4-20 thread…

Those lights are floating!

I've been using these suction cup navigation lights all summer on my Lund that doesn't have a battery or electric start. Batteries survived the summer without being replaced. The suction cup holds great on my outboard, the only time it has fallen off it was actually unscrewed from the suction cup, but they float and are removed and washed with fresh water. This flashlight still works as always. My only complaint is that the light wobbles when mounted on outboards as it's bolted to a rubber…

Won't stick to anything in my boat

I have a canoe and thought it would be a great solution as I rarely need to use these lights. So I figured if I needed them I could just pull them out and attach them to something. When I tried it out on an elegant dining table at home, the suction cup underneath was just amazing. But when I got on the boat I couldn't find anything that would hold her for more than a minute or two. The side of the boat, the inside of the boat, the bow, the trolling motor - it didn't matter. You wouldn't be…

Works great on our Monster Wake Tower.

After learning that I needed a light at the highest point of the boat (vacuum tower) I decided to try this before spending a lot of money on electrical work to permanently light the tower. I'm glad I have this product! It stayed on as we passed the large wake of other boats with no problem. At first I thought it should be lighter and I think it could be lighter but when it was up the tower at night I realized it would protect us and the boat was legal. It has been reliable so far but if…

Good light for small boats

My rating is really 4.5. The light is as bright as many small boat stern lights. Opposite the counter is this location for attaching a keyring, lanyard, and carabiner. The suction cup offers good suction and is durable. I used suction cup lights from outdoor supply stores - Innovative Lighting's suction cup lasted much longer than the competition's lightweight rubber. the top of the rubber suction cup (I once accidentally separated the light block from the suction cup by forcefully pulling…
