I have a canoe and thought it would be a great solution as I rarely need to use these lights. So I figured if I needed them I could just pull them out and attach them to something. When I tried it out on an elegant dining table at home, the suction cup underneath was just amazing. But when I got on the boat I couldn't find anything that would hold her for more than a minute or two. The side of the boat, the inside of the boat, the bow, the trolling motor - it didn't matter. You wouldn't be attached to anything.
