I bought this size 12 for my 7 year old who is very sensitive to stitching, textures etc. He was very happy to have the shoes without velcro as his previous shoes kept coming off. When he first put them on he said they were too tight and my heart sank. I persuaded him to wear them around the house a little more to get his feet used to them and he soon said they fit perfectly! He is so happy with them and says they are the most comfortable shoes he has ever had. Success!
