I was excited when I opened the package. It had lots of painting tools and also a big travel bag which was great. The rug itself was much larger than I expected. It is big enough that at least 5 children can paint at the same time. Setup is quick and easy, just wet the tip and fill the handles with water. My daughter is only 17 months old so I haven't let her play with all the pieces yet, I will introduce her gradually as she grows. But older kids will love them. This is perfect for introducing my child to pens. I'm not worried about her biting the tip of the pen because it's just water. No mess either. Our apartment is carpeted, so nothing should be dirty. This aqua mat is perfect for us and our daughter.
