I was looking for a new humidifier to replace a much smaller and older model. I wanted something calm, create lots of mist for a large space, and be stylish. I found this and more in the MILIN humidifier. First of all, this humidifier has a sufficiently large tank. I like to leave my humidifier on at night because my throat hurts when the air is too dry while I'm sleeping. So far, the humidifier has never run out of water at night. I used to hate being woken up by my old humidifier's alarm clock. The amount of fog that MILIN releases is also very good. I usually use the highest setting to ensure there is enough humidity in the room. But medium and even the lowest settings produce a noticeable amount of fog. It's a cool mist, so the mist feels cool. This is important if you have children or pets and don't want to risk them getting burned by the fog. As for the controls, this device is very simple. You simply press the power button and then set the desired mist level (low, medium, high). The device also has a sterilization mode. This mode turns water into ions, which then attract microbes. This idea is similar to ionic air purifiers in my opinion. When the sterilization button is pressed, the sterilization indicator lights up and the humidifier switches to high-mist mode for the set time. It will then go to medium and low settings for the set time as well. In general, the sterilization process turns out to last 2 hours. This is a good feature when you want to freshen up a room. In terms of looks, you really can't go wrong with this device. It has a modern look and almost looks like a big white speaker (similar to Sonos or something). So it's easier to add it to a bookshelf or table to blend in with the rest of the decor. I really like that the tank is not visible. In some other units you get that cheap clear or blue plastic that shows you the water level. With MILIN, everything is hidden and when the water level gets too low, the light comes on and the device turns off. Cleaning this device is very easy. I just use some dish soap and a small soft brush. Then I fill the tank with water and detergent and wipe the tank and parts that generate mist. Then I just wash both. It takes a few minutes and I haven't had any issues with buildup or mold. There are no hard-to-reach parts of the device and no annoying gaps. The block also has a valve that can also be removed for cleaning. It snaps in and out. Overall I am very happy with this device and I think it will be ideal for increasing the humidity levels this winter. I live in an area where winter nights can drop below 0 degrees and a humidifier is a must.
