These bulbs are perfect

I have a small lamp in the shape of a lantern made of brass and glass hanging from my ceiling. Beautiful and looks a lot more expensive than it actually was. BUT, whoever invented it wasn't thinking. It is completely closed at the top and sides and completely open at the bottom. It's very small inside and hanging in the middle is a brass rod with TWO lightbulb sockets. I can barely put my hand in to change lightbulbs. As there were 2 regular lightbulbs working there, the heat was terrible. They had to drill some holes to allow air to escape into the jar from above. Instead, the inside of a regular light bulb was so hot that the bulbs would burn out about every 6 months. If one broke, changing it was a problem. It's so cramped inside that I couldn't help but touch the brass or glass walls. In fact, I was hurt when I tripped over the copper and glass even after a short wait. Aggravating. But then I switched to these LED bulbs. There is no warmth inside. Lightbulbs don't burn out every 6 months. Without burning your hands to replace them. In addition, LED lamps have a plastic shade or cover on the bottom of the lamp. With the light fixture open like this, looking up to see the light fixture would give me spots in front of my eyes because I could see the whole bulb looking down at me. These LED bulbs block direct bright light from the down position, allowing me to look directly into the fixture without seeing any bright spots in front of my eyes. I'm very happy that I made the switch. LEDs aren't much more expensive than old incandescent bulbs which produce heat and use electricity, so why wait?
