Durable Toy, Not-So-Hot Instrument
I bought this for my 1 year old son. He has a nice teak ukulele his Grandpa built for him, but that one is much too fragile and dear to let him play with it at this age. This plastic one seemed like a nice substitute for now. My only complaint is that action is too high, so the first fret doesn't ring properly. Other than that, the sound is crap, and it doesn't hold its tuning very long, but that's pretty much what I'd expected for a $20 plastic instrument.All in all, it's fine for a young child's toy, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who is actually trying to learn to play.
