This is my new favorite speaker cable! I've been using regular 16 gauge speaker wire for a long time and have dealt with intermittent muting as well as the occasional popping or cracking. For a long time I assumed that it was a problem with my receiver because it was outdated. I bought this cable because I was moving my speakers and needed to change the cables I used due to their length. I did a little research and came across meter recommendations based on cable length and speaker impedance and decided I needed 14 gauge. I chose this wire because it is solid copper (not copper plated). I also liked the black and red jackets. The difference in sound quality is amazing! I can't tell how it compares to any other 14 gauge wire, but the change was immediate. Otherwise I haven't changed anything, cutouts, crackers and tears have disappeared. My speakers seem louder and clearer. It's like I have a brand new system! I can't recommend the update enough!
