Review on Thermasilk Glove Liner For Adults By Terramar by Lance Jenkins

Extra warmth, but should just get thicker gloves

These glove liners do provide a little extra boost to the warming power of a pair of gloves, but for the hassle I would rather just have spent some more money to just get a thicker pair of gloves that provide enough warmth on their own.PROS:-As stated above, these do provide a little extra oomph to your gloves. About enough to turn a pair of mild-weather fall gloves into a pair of light winter gloves.-The liners have a pretty long wrist portion which is very nice for blocking wind on potentially exposed wrists, and can help with layering if you're trying to build up a buffer of overlapping layers.-They are thin enough that if you need to remove your outer glove in order to use a touchscreen, you can leave the liners on. Maybe not quite sensitive enough for quick texters, but definitely enough to place/answer calls or navigate around.CONS:-These have a tendency to move around on your hand a lot during wear. Specifically, I've noticed that over the course of my drive to work (around 30 minutes), the thumbs & fingers have rotated close to 90 degrees from where they started, which means that the seams are now right on the pads of my thumbs & fingers. Might not be an issue to some, but I find it very uncomfortable.-You can't really remove the glove & liner as a single piece, which makes putting on/taking off the gloves more time consuming. In addition to taking slightly longer to get ready, this also sheds light on the biggest issue:-These liners are an absolute DISASTER around velcro. Even the slightest contact will cause a snag that pulls long strands out & will eventually look like you're carrying a handful of black string (not quite that bad, but substantial). It's not so bad since they end up inside your gloves & won't be seen, but it's a problem that is self-propagating; as you get more snags, it makes it easier to snag those hanging fibers, and the snags get worse & worse.Overall, if you have a pair of gloves that aren't quite warm enough, I think it'd be better to commit a little more money to get a second pair of gloves that can stand up to the environment on their own.

Pros
  • The liners are affordable, providing a quality product at a reasonable price point
Cons
  • The gloves can easily get misplaced due to their small size
