This is not for museum keeping of books or documents. But for the children's book that was torn to pieces or a cookbook (like the one I just repaired) that will last for years, this is my pick. It has strong adhesion, high transparency and archival capability with works on paper - unlike traditional adhesive tapes. The matte finish stands out against the background of glossy paper, but that's a minor thing compared to losing the book entirely. In fact, it's probably time for me to place a new order. I just used a bunch for repair and preventative maintenance and I would hate to miss it the next time I need it. - wired weird
