Review on Enhance Your Outdoor Decor with 10 Pack Solar Mason Jar Lid Lights - Perfect for Gardens, Patios, and Lawns! (Jars Not Included) by Rebecca Stokes

Not suitable for a standard narrow-necked glass!

Mason jars have only been produced in standard sizes since the 1920's; how to go wrong The diameter of the rings associated with these lights is approximately 1/16 to 3/32 of an inch, which is too small for standard narrow-necked cans from Kerr, Ball, Atlas, etc. If you're happy that the squinting jar lid fits, or are willing to over-tighten the lids and deform them as a result, you might be happy with that. If you have a lot of narrow-necked marinade and jam jars, they might work. The threads of store-bought cans tend to have thinner threads (so standard can lids and rings will usually fit). This is probably why the manufacturer is offering a "mysterious surprise” in the form of a sheet of stickers that can be stuck onto unlabeled cans. However if you want retro lights (as shown in the pictures on the Revain website) these aren't for you. Interestingly, the hangers that come with the holders are perfect for glasses as they fit perfectly under the rim used to grab hot glasses from the tin pot with glass tongs. However, your unnamed jar most likely doesn't have a strong strap that allows the strap securing the hanger to slip off easily (you can remake the strap relatively easily by shortening it with needle nose pliers and wire cutters). It's as if the folks who designed the hanger ring had an actual tin can, while the ring's designers dug up the pickle can from the local trash can. collected, repackaged all this crap and shipped back to China or wherever this uselessness originated. However, I can say that one light (out of six) I tried lit up, seemed to take control, and the photocell seemed to cycle on and off as described, so at least it's working. Tip: Avoid those lightbulbs like a coughing guy on the subway.
