The perfect item for the job!

I really like these. Diamond painting kits come with an adhesive protected by either clear plastic or a large sheet of smooth paper similar to what these little rectangles are made of. The clear plastic doesn't stay folded easily, making it difficult to see exactly where the adhesive opens when you trim off the excess. Also, the clear plastic wrap is secure on one side, but the other side sticks to the adhesive, so replacing it is risky. Large sheets of smooth paper also don't fold easily and are difficult to see through, making it difficult to easily tell where you are in the design. Sometimes people try to cut the paper without cutting the canvas, but that can end up piercing all the layers if you accidentally press too hard. So I made my own rectangles out of parchment paper, which is removable and translucent enough for me to see the design, but I found it very difficult to cut them just right on the sides and square on the corners. the best of all worlds. It's solid but still slightly translucent so I can still see where I am in the design. They stick well to protect the adhesive but are also easy to remove without pulling the adhesive from the canvas and can be repositioned. Unlike transparent plastic films, both sides can safely come into contact with adhesive. No more fiddling with parchment paper cutouts - they're a handy size and already straight and regular. And they're inexpensive, can be reused in future projects, and can be delivered quickly. If you paint diamond paintings, do yourself a favor and order them. Serious.
